Cam Boothe

When were you saved?

The Lord began drawing me to Himself when I was 10 years old, but I put my trust in Jesus, officially, when I was around the age of fourteen at my hometown church
 in Wetumpka, AL.

What do you love about student ministry?

I love being a part of, in any way that I can, helping students pursue a personal relationship with Jesus. I truly believe that when a student is growing and maturing in their faith through the reading of Scripture and prayer, crazy, Spirit-filled things begin to take place in a student ministry. When this happens, you do not have to convince a student that they need to share their faith; they will do so naturally out of the overflow of their relationship with Christ. My desire is that every student fall so deeply in love with Jesus that they can’t stop talking about Him.

What is your life verse?

“The Spirit himself bears witness to our spirit that we are God’s children. And if children, then heirs (namely, heirs of God and also fellow heirs with Christ) —if indeed we suffer with him so we may also be glorified with him.” ~ Romans 8:16-17

When I heard that Jesus took my place and paid the debt for my sins with His life, it wrecked me. As I began to grow in my understanding of Scripture and found out that I am not only welcomed into heaven, but I am also a son of God and coheir with Christ, it changed everything about how I viewed my relationship with the Lord. I realized that the God of the universe truly does love me and he calls me His son.

Most embarrassing moment

I don’t necessarily have a singular “embarrassing moment,” but I do get embarrassed ANYTIME dancing is involved.
