When were you saved?

When I was 13 years old (circa 1987) at a youth night at my church during a week long revival.

What do you love about student ministry?

I love seeing students “get it” and start living on mission with their friends, family, and on their campus. When that happens in their life and they start leading others, it’s better than winning the lottery! I know how I was as a teenager and how God has brought me so far to this point in my life. I see students today that are living for Jesus and can’t help but wonder the amazing adventures and Kingdom changing lives they are going to live in their future.

What is your life verse?

“The thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy. But I have come that you may have life and have it in abundance.” Because I feel like Jesus has already given me the most abundant life I could ask for. I wouldn’t want to be on any other journey. Everyday, regardless of ups or downs, it reminds me that this life I have in Christ is more abundant than any other life I could ever choose.” ~ John 10:10

Most embarrassing moment

Senior year of high school. I was in a musical where we had to wear sandals (aka Roman times). During one song we had to do a kick line - yeah, I’m not a great dancer! Another actor stepped on my sandal and broke the strap. I proceeded to kick it 15 rows out into the crowd. And did I mention that this was the Friday matinee showing to our entire high school and middle school student body? Of course it was nothing that about 20 staples couldn’t fix. The show must go on!

Favorite Candy

Reeses Peanut Butter Cups (the full sized ones). There’s no argument. All other candy is trash compared to a big Reeses cup.
